Class Teacher at Chiddingly

I am currently in my third year at Chiddingly, having completed a PCGE at Brighton uni in 2015. I completed my undergraduate degree in Primary Education studies at the University of Wales before moving back to Sussex.

I have obviously inherited my parents’ and grandparents’ love of teaching – especially teaching maths as it’s great to see the children get excited to see quick progression in their learning. I currently lead Music and Forest School across the Federation, both of which give the children great opportunities to take part in activities that involve range of skills very different to ones involved with learning other core subjects. Forest School is a particular highlight of my week as it gives me chance to escape the classroom for a few hours and help the children get active in the outdoor environment.

Outside of school, I enjoy playing music, helping out in my local church and have just begun running, with the aim to complete a marathon…at some point! I am one of 7 children with lots of nieces and nephews ranging from a few months to 18yrs old, who I love spending time with!
