The Eco Helpers have been helping to feed and water our chickens. They have been very enthusiastic and have enjoyed spending time with the chickens. We will be starting to look at making things to go on the new display boards, located by the pond, next week.

Eco Schools Bronze Award

East Hoathly Primary School & Chiddingly Primary School have been awarded its Eco Schools Bronze Award for its achievements in promoting energy efficiency and being green. Please can this be promoted in newsletter. A certificate is on its way for display in the office and we will know work our way towards a Silver Award.

Tree Planting

The Eco Helpers have cleared out one flower bed and have started planting the 150 trees donated by the Woodland Trust. They will be carrying on with this for the next two weeks with Mr Herdman, until all the tress are planted.

They really enjoyed getting stuck in with the hard work involved and spotting all the worms in the bed!

Eco Helpers

The Eco helpers help Mr Herdman look after our beautiful school. They look after the garden area and promote saving energy. They have been nominated by their class to their role and they feed back to their classes what they have been doing and how everyone in the school can help.

East Hoathly Eco Helpers

Chiddingly Eco Helpers

The Eco helpers have been busy weeding this week. The flowers and trees are growing really well and adding some colour to the trim trail.

The pond area has now been re-fenced and decked and will be incorporated into Forest School learning and the eco group. We plan to develop the wildlife aspect of the pond to include a variety of different pond life.
