Y5/Y6 Teacher at East Hoathly

Lisa PurcellI began teaching in 2005 and in my first school I taught Year 6, Year 4, Year 2 and Year 1. I was really excited to be given the opportunity to move to East Hoathly. It has been amazing to see all the improvements and the school moving from strength to strength. I have loved being part of the fantastic team of people who all support each other. I have been privileged to able to develop my career here and taken on the role of Senior Teacher.

I love teaching children in KS1 and enjoy seeing them progress and develop over the year. Every day is different and this is part of what makes working with children so exciting and interesting. I really enjoy teaching in the village as it is a friendly community and special place to be.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, which include the Pioneer staff team! I have recently joined Ubends the local amateur dramatic society which has been a fantastic experience. I enjoy going to Bokwa and travelling to new places in the school holidays!
